A fifth generation Texan, James Templeton tapped into his fighting spirit and became an over 30-year cancer survivor who healed himself from a terminal diagnosis of Stage IV Melanoma with the use of alternative medicine and healing modalities when conventional medicine failed. After a painful and extensive surgery to remove lymph nodes from his groin, the recommended plan was 80 rounds of chemotherapy, plus the possibility of more surgeries and radiation therapy.
After enduring two series of these chemo treatments and nearly dying from experimental hyperthermia treatments, James asked the oncologist what his chances were. The oncologist admitted the treatments weren’t working and said, “Well, we’re all going to die someday.” But James knew there had to be a better way, and at 2 o’clock in the morning, he literally crawled out of that hospital and found it.
As the visionary founder of Uni Key Health Systems and the Templeton Wellness Foundation, James has since utilized his wisdom and experience to helping others achieve optimum health and wellness. His latest book, I USED TO HAVE CANCER (Square One, April 2019) is his memoir chronicling his amazing journey back to health (in typical fashion, he insists that all proceeds from the sale of his book go to the Foundation). He is also the co-author of Your Body Knows Best. Now a resident of the Pacific Northwest, James dedicates much of his time to living a healthy lifestyle and inspiring others to do the same. He also enjoys outdoor activities and spending time with family and friends.
